Far reaching environmental policy. Richmond's cabinet board manufacturer pursues a far reaching environmental policy and adheres to the strict ecological regulations laid down by the wood processing industry.
Our cabinets are born in Northumberland. A considerable amount of the raw material used in the manufacturing of our chipboard is harvested from woodland within the catchment area of the UK manufacturing plant.
The cabinets are made from a mix of 45% recycled material and 55% sustainable sources. The main source of wood used within the manufacturing of our chipboard complies with a chain of custody process through the Forestry Stewardship Council which promotes and ensures the use of timber from managed forests. Tree stocks are continually replenished.
Waste not, want not. Very little waste is generated during the manufacturing of chipboard, as almost all by-products are used, whether as raw material or as an energy source.
