Fine tuning the manufacturing process

Edging Tape

Generating our own energy. Richmond operates an integrated waste extraction and biomass fuel plant, providing energy to heat the entire site eliminating the demand for natural gas.

Self sufficiency reduces landfill waste - 80% Waste Reduction. The biomass boiler has reduced the demand for landfill skips from 10 skips per week to as little as 2.

Energy saving schemes. All old lighting tubes are replaced with new more energy
efficient ones as a matter of course and are disposed of in accordance with the Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive).

Water-based paints and lacquers used for finishing (eliminates CFCs). The emissions from Richmond's spray booths are checked and monitored for pollution regularly. We are running well under the emission limits of 50mg/m3, the last emissions reading was as low as only 2.5mg/m3.
